Palms & Pines Inc. was imagined in 2019 by former professional dancer Rachel Hunter. She realized that mainstream film “misses the mark” when it comes to capturing movement, as Directors and Directors of Photography (DOP) typically aren’t as knowledgable of dance. It has become her life’s mission to study film and movement, and to support dancers through educational programs, so they feel empowered to create higher quality media themselves.

She is honoured to be mentored by some of the best in the industry, starting with powerhouse DOP Chris Morsby, Director/Producer Jerome Kruin and Director Axel Villamil.

Her well-rounded experience as a Director, Director of Photography, Production Manager, Art Director, Movement Coach, Producer, Technical Producer, Camera Operator, Grip, Gaffer and Editor with names such as Hip Hop Canada, The National Ballet of Canada, NASA, Walmart, FBI, Chef’s Plate, Clearco, and Dance Conventions in the US and Canada (JUMP, View Dance Challenge, NUVO) has given her the confidence to bring your idea to life from start to finish.
